In January 2023 we began flipping this 1972 Conchemco single wide mobile home. It is 600 sq. ft. located in Washington, Ut. It sits up on a picturesque hill with beautiful views of the Mormon Temple, city lights and Little Black Mountains. There are two huge mulberry trees on either side of the home. They provide constant shade year around, protection from the wind, and perfect lighting all day long. In addition to the paved drive there is a 10'x12' shed on property for storage and a 10 x 12 dog run in the back yard.
We removed the wall behind the refrigerator down to the studs and installed new plumbing lines for the sink drain and faucets. Then we re-wired all the electrical lines, blew out the infloor air ducts, tested the furnace and got a new thermostat installed.
We installed all new Cognac, Hampton Bay cabinets with laminate counter top. Kitchen window was also replaced with 36" x 24" double pain. New stainless steel fridge and gas stove, perfect for any gourmet cook. The breakfast bar has a live edge top and additional storage with two swivel counter stools, both comfy and easy to move. The kitchen has open live edge shelving for quick access.
The original water heater had leaked into the wall & floor. We tore out all the damaged areas and rebuilt them. The installation of the tankless Rinnai hot water heater was a gift!!! It allowed us to expand the bathroom to a full size bath. Rinnal tankless heaters are commercial grade standard and each individual unit is tested for quality, so you never need an industry warranty for your most important appliance. The water temperature is easily self regulating very energy effiencent. It also helps preserve our most important resource WATER!!!
The bathroom was a total remodel. Because of the water damage, we had to tear out the flooring down to the supports. We rebuilt the wall to hold the Riannai tankless water heater, ran all new plumbing lines, rebuilt the floor of the bath. Installed a new shower stall, new window 24" x 24", new vanity, new sink, faucet, medicine cabinet.
In addition we installed all new flooring. The flooring is Luxury Poly-Vinyl Plank, Smartcore, Ultra Blue Ridge Pine from Lowe's which is a better quality and more expensive than Home Depot. It is waterproof and easy maintance. It is run throughout the mobile unit under all cabinets.
Both the bedrooms had the dark brown original paneling, flooring, and electrical. In the front corner the wood had to be replaced from the outside and add on new exterior paneling. Inside all the insulation was stripped, cleaned and replaced with new insulation. New drywall, new electrical, new lighting, new flooring and new window 48"x60". New bedroom wall expanded the bedroom from 7.6" x 11' to 10' x 11' making it a full size bedroom. Hand blown glass wall sconce was added for ambient light. Nice & cozy!!!
We removed the closet to open up the room to 9' x 11' full size. We replaced the walls and ceiling with 1/4" drywall tape & texture. The new lights are LED, energy efficient, low profile so as to not invade the 7' ceiling height. The new double pane window 48" x 60" opened up this bedroom and the natural light that comes in makes it so you do not need to turn on the light during the day while you work. Much easier on the eyes!!!
